Still more photos, thanks Rich!
Each summer a bunch of us go on this tour we have affectionately named the "Booze Cruise", and have a total blast as we sample fine Milwaukee micro brews…and sometimes actually listen to the tour guides at each brewery. This year I’ve decided make it even more fun! As we troll down the river on the boat drinking beer, the Riverwest Accordion Club will be with us for the whole trip squeezing out your favorite beer drinking polkas! The only brewery missing from the tour is Sprecher…not to worry! I have arranged for a bottle of Sprecher Amber for everyone on the tour made with a special label commemorating the first "Polka Booze Cruise"! Wait there is more! After the boat tour, there is a cookout with brats, burgers…and yes more beer at my place!
$35.00 per person includes, boat trip, live music, beer, 3 brewery tours, commemorative Sprecher beer, and lunch afterwards at the Warehouse Lofts (and more beer). Itinerary: 12:30 - Meet at the Milwaukee Ale House, 233 N. Water St. Milwaukee, WI 53203. 12:50 - Tour begins at the Milwaukee Ale House. 1:40 - Polka Booze Cruise barge departs with stops at Rock Bottom & Lakefront Breweries. 4:10 - Boat returns to the Milwaukee Ale House, your commemorative Sprecher beer bottle can be picked up at the loft during the cookout and continued beer sampling. 4:30 - Brats & burgers at the Warehouse Lofts. Reserve your seat: You can pay me in person, send me a check, mailing address is listed on the directions page, or if you are a Pay Pal user you can send it to me using my e-mail address of greglandig@earthlink.net. To reserve a seat on the boat send me an e-mail indicating your method of payment, or just send me payment via Pay Pal. Because space is limited and I will have paid for all seats, beer, and the band in advance, I will need anyone signing up to get their payment to me before the tour to save your seat. As the date approaches anyone who has not made payment your seats will be given up to those on the waiting list, since your seat on the boat will have already been paid for in advance, whether you show up or not. Parking & Directions: There is always plenty of street parking by the Warehouse Lofts, and in the lot on the west side of the building where my balcony overlooks. I recommend you park there as parking in the Third Ward by the Ale House blows. From my place it’s a block walk over the bridge going east, right on Water Street and half a block down you are at the Ale House. I have driving directions to my place listed here, and there is a map indicating the Warehouse Lofts and the Milwaukee Ale House. Other Info: If you would like to bring friends, they are more than welcome; I will need payment from them in advance and their full name. Feel free to forward them my e-mail with the link to this page. If you want to bring something to contribute to the cookout after the tour, just drop me an e-mail. The only restrictions requested by the boat tour company, is that you bring no food or outside alcohol onto the boat. This does not include beer from any of the breweries visited…in fact you are encouraged to bring your brewery tour beers with you onto the boat, or purchase a growler for the road! Any other questions just shoot me an e-mail! Hope to see you at the "Polka Booze Cruise" Brewery Tour! Saturday June 11, 2005 - 12:30 PM Reserve your seat now, space is limited to 44 people, first come first serve! (All seats booked as of 06/01/05)
